Sean K. Odenwalder (DMD)
Sean Odenwalder, DMD, received his dental degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Odenwalder completed the U.S. Navy’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program in Norfolk, VA. As a naval officer, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps at Camp Pendleton before coming to Mission Family Dentistry.
“Dr. O” is a North County San Diego native. He and his wife, Amy, and their two children, Kirk and Heidi, currently reside in Vista, CA. Dr. O is very involved in his church and with the Boy Scouts and enjoys sailing and outdoor activities with his Rhodesian Ridgeback, Gator.
Dr. Odenwalder is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society. He continues to increase his knowledge and skills in the latest advancements in dentistry by regularly attending continuing education events, conferences and hands on courses.

Office Manager
Our office manager, Tricia, has been a founding member of our team since 1995. With over 45 years of experience in the dental field, she brings a wealth of knowledge to our practice. Tricia will happily answer any questions you have about your dental treatment, insurance, and billing. In her free time, she enjoys painting, cooking, and reading. Tricia also loves spending time with her twin sons and two grandchildren.
Hygienist
Our hygienist, Carina has over 15 years’ experience providing thorough and caring dental cleanings. Her expertise and dedication ensure that you receive the highest standard of care during each visit. Carina is the proud mother of four boys, speaks fluent English and Spanish, and enjoys nature and family time.
Office Administrator
Nikki, our front office administrator, is typically the first person you will speak to when you call our office. With her friendly and bubbly personality, she ensures a warm and welcoming experience. Nikki is always ready to help you schedule appointments and answer any of your insurance and billing inquiries. Nikki has one daughter and enjoys spending time with her and her boyfriend doing outdoor activities and playing video game.
Registered Dental Assistant
Our registered dental assistant, Michelle, has over 30 years of experience and works chairside with Dr. Odenwalder. Michelle is warm and caring, and she will happily answer any of your questions about your dental treatment. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with her 2 adult children and playing with her four dogs.
Dental Assistant
Marco joined our office in 2021 through his dental assisting program, where Dr. Odenwalder provided his training. He has since become a valuable member of our team who is always eager to help and advance his education. Marco is known for his easy-going personality. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and family, and loves hiking and camping.
